Nepalese maoist militant and radical poet, he was born into a "dalit" or "untouchable" family. His poems are passionate attacks on capitalism and imperialism and all of the harm these cause the working people. His eloquence and ability to stir your emotions, while at the same time destroying the ideas of oppression and injustice, is remarkable. A firm and principled poet who stands with the downtrodden against castes and class society, and portrays the oppressed with the profound dignity and respect that they deserve.
